Using BEEP To Do Stuff

I'm gathering ideas on how exactly one uses BEEP to do stuff here, both in general and with Ruby specifically in mind. I started this just because it looked useful for a project I had on the horizon that never panned out, but I'd still like to finish it.

Perhaps some examples from elsewhere would help clarify things.

netconf will have support for using BEEP as transport. Latest word is that several reference implementations are complete(Python, C, C++, and Java so far but no Ruby ;) and interoperability testing has commenced. (Oh, and thanks for the work on IO::Reactor, as soon as I get my brain around what is required to make it work I'll likely be using it in a Fortune 500 company to do SNMP stuffs.) http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-netconf-beep-05.txt
